Cannon has always been super active as a kid, playing multiple sports including football, basketball, soccer, and was a 4 year high school varsity cross country and track runner. Originally, Cannon was a computer/software engineering major at Cal Poly SLO, but due to immediate family health issues and the rigor of his curriculum, he used exercise as an outlet to improve his anxiety and mental health. During this time, he realized he developed a bigger passion for fitness and health so he decided to pursue it. The next school quarter, he switched majors to Kinesiology and completed his Bachelors within the next two years.
Cannon believes that movement and physical activity is medicine as it has been proven to provide physiological benefits that are often as effective than pharmaceutical interventions. He believes physical activity is important for every one in all stages of their life to help improve their physical, mental, and emotional health. Through his education, his two year experience as a personal trainer and as a physical therapy aide, he hopes to guide others in discovering what works for them and creating life long habits that will lead them to a happier and healthier lifestyle.
